Willy McCue is a 19-year-old who lives in New York City. He recently lost both of his feet, hands and fingers. Willy was diagnosed with the flu and developed complications. He was hospitalized in order to get the infection under control. However, the infection got worse. He developed pneumonia, which caused him to develop sepsis.
The doctors were forced to amputate his limbs in order to save his life. Not only has Willy lost his limbs, but he has also severe damage to his organs. He is still in the hospital. Willy was a volunteer for the fire department before he got sick. The New York City Fire engine company started a gofund for me Willy. They stated on their Facebook page that every cent they raise will go towards helping Willy. They also stated that Willy is going to require ongoing medical care.
The fire department wants to do their part to ensure that the family is able to provide care for Willie. There will also be fundraisers that will support Willy’s medical expenses. The first one will be held at Lynch’s Restaurant, which is located on South Liberty Drive in Sony Point.
There will be a fundraiser at the restaurant on April 2 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. People will have to pay $25 for dinner. The restaurant is buffet-style.
Willy McCue is a graduate of Clarkson North High School. He was a football player and wrestler. Will and Erika McCue are Willy’s parents. They stated that they overwhelmed by the support that they have received from the community. The gofumdme account has raised over $88,000. The goal is $150,000. According to Willy’s family, he is fighting hard to overcome the medical challenges that he is facing. The family stated that every person who contributes to the gofundme will help support a victory for Willy.
